I've got a problem. I've got Photoshop CS2, and I want it to support the .NEF (RAW format) files from a Nikon D5000. Here's what I tried, in order (after each step, I tested Photoshop to see if it worked):

Installed "DNG Converter and Camera Raw 3.7 update" for CS2
[link]Edit: I put the .8bi (plugin) file in Adobe/Photoshop CS2/Plug-Ins/File-Formats. The .zip it came in didn't provide a readme, so I just assumed it's supposed to go there.

Installed "Adobe Photoshop 9.0.2 update for Adobe Photoshop CS2 for Windows"

Installed "Camera Raw 3.7 update" (it's packaged with the first thing I installed, but it was worth a try)

Allowed Adobe Updater to update Photoshop and install the latest version of Adobe Bridge

Rebooted computer

Got frustrated and whined to DA for help
Each time I tried importing a .NEF into Photoshop, it gave the error
"Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." Anyone who can halp shall be rewarded with the priceless, warm feeling of helping someone.
Explain this please.

Everything we know is the product of the internalizing the external world into a systematic series of information strands that becomes our sense of reality. For that, it is logical that the entirety of the universe does not exist, as by Occam's razor, reality could be easier explained as a glitch in the analysis process rather than as an emergent property of a highly uncertain analysis property.
The question for you, then, is that if I don't exist, am I still bothersome?
